1. About this site
This website (lambertssupermkt.co.uk) is run by Lamberts Bedford (119 Midland Road, Bedford MK40 1DA, incorporated 22 August 2016). These terms cover orders placed online, by phone or in store.
2. Orders & availability
Products and prices shown are per branch and can change without notice. An order is accepted when we confirm it with your order reference. We may cancel where stock is unavailable or an age check fails.
3. Delivery & collection
Delivery windows, fees and minimum orders are shown at checkout. Click-and-collect is free. Where we use our own drivers, delivery is to the kerbside of the address given.
4. Age-restricted goods
Alcohol (18+) can be ordered online for home delivery only, and only by a signed-in 18+ customer account — registration captures your name, email, phone and date of birth. Orders containing alcohol are paid cash on delivery only: online card payment is never available for them, even when online card payment is offered for other orders. Our driver checks valid photographic ID (Challenge 25) at the door before handing over — no ID, no delivery, nothing taken. Vape products are 18+ and are sold in our Bedford stores only; they cannot be ordered or advertised online. We operate Challenge-25 in store and may refuse any age-restricted sale where valid ID isn't shown.
5. Payment
Orders without age-verified items can be paid online by card or digital wallet where that option is offered at checkout — payments are processed securely by Stripe (stripe.com) and we never see or store your full card number. You can also pay on collection, or cash on delivery where offered. Orders containing age-verified items (alcohol) are always cash on delivery and always require a signed-in 18+ customer account; online card payment is not available for them. Title to goods passes when payment is received and the goods are handed over.
6. Faults & refunds
Tell us about a problem within 14 days (call the branch). Faulty or missing items are refunded or replaced. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
